That's Whyld Coffee & Connections - Social Media Consulting & Strategy

 

Overview/Challenge: The client, Rachel, excelled at fostering a vibrant community within her physical cafe but had limited experience translating that engagement into the online social media world. The goal was to build a strong, authentic brand community online that mirrored the cafe's in-person success.

My Role: I provided Social Media Consulting and Strategy, empowering Rachel to confidently manage her own social media presence. My role involved guiding her through social media basics, brainstorming content ideas, analyzing existing performance, and identifying opportunities for growth and brand collaborations.





Strategy & Execution: My strategic approach focused on leveraging the cafe's inherent authenticity and Rachel's unique personality, while applying an understanding of the social media landscape to develop a strategy that genuinely connected people online. Initially, I provided minor content creation to kickstart the brand's online presence, then transitioned to a full consulting model, guiding Rachel to create her own consistent, authentic, and community-led content. We also explored and discussed branded collaborations and partnerships with relevant coffee-related social media influencers like Breakfast Shirts and San Remo Coffee.

Results & Impact: During my time consulting with That's Whyld, I proudly oversaw the Instagram account's growth from 300 followers to 3.5k followers, demonstrating successful community translation from physical to digital. Engagement remained exceptionally high, with a minimum of 5 comments on each Instagram post, a testament to the strong, authentic connections fostered online.

Key Learnings/Takeaways: This project powerfully demonstrated that strong in-person brand building and community engagement can be successfully translated to the social media world with the right guidance and education. It reinforced the value of empowering business owners with foundational knowledge and strategic direction.
