Mr Consistent Pop-Up Bars - Accor Hotels Partnership

 

Overview/Challenge: Mr Consistent, a premium cocktail mixer brand, aimed to expand its stockist presence into the hotel sector. This led to the innovative concept of collaborating with Accor Hotels to launch pop-up pool bars, offering easy-to-make Mr Consistent cocktails. The dual objective was to promote the cocktail mixers and enhance amenities for hotel guests, creating a unique and memorable experience.

My Role: As Event Coordinator, I was responsible for the end-to-end event coordination, setup, and promotion of the Mr Consistent pop-up bars across various Accor properties.

Strategy & Execution: My strategic approach involved launching the pop-up Mr Consistent branded bars and parties at different Accor properties across Queensland at the start of summer. To maximize brand visibility and create an immersive experience, I implemented a variety of branded promotional products at each pool location, including custom pool floaties, towels, decals, cups, bar mats, pillows, and other promotional items. Engagement was further ensured through online promotion via social media channels (Instagram, Facebook) and through sales distributors for each hotel location, alongside prominent branding and promotional material within the hotels themselves.

Results & Impact: This successful initiative directly led to an ongoing partnership with Accor Hotels to stock Mr Consistent cocktail mixers, achieving the primary goal of extending brand presence into the hotel sector. The pop-up bars generated significant hype and provided an added, memorable amenity for hotel guests, fostering brand loyalty and visibility for both Mr Consistent and the participating Accor properties.

Key Learnings/Takeaways: This project underscored the immense value of strategic branding and experiential events in generating hype and creating mutually beneficial partnerships. It highlighted how generating unique, memorable experiences for customers, even through temporary activations, can significantly enhance brand perception and foster loyalty. Key insights were gained in efficient brand execution, meticulous planning, and effective promotional material ordering, informing future strategies on economic and impactful implementation options.
